- Dutch oven — for soups, braises, or keeping things warm
- Knife Set — essential for confident veggie prep
- Cutting boards — ideally two: one for meat, one for produce
- Mixing bowls (various sizes) — prep several dishes at once
- Meat thermometer — eliminates all guesswork
- High-speed blender or immersion blender — for gravy, sauces, soups
